BAE/Vitro Property

The Lee family has owned property in Aspen Hill since it was farmland. In 1958, before the extension of Connecticut Avenue, Colonel Lee, the founder of LDG built the first retail shops in Aspen Hill. LDG built the BAE Systems building for The Vitro Corporation 40 years ago. We are looking forward to rehabilitating the Northgate Plaza Shopping Center, along with the old and obsolete BAE/Vitro building that has been vacant since June 2010.

Since the tenant vacated the building, LDG has had the BAE/Vitro property listed for lease, without any success, proving Aspen Hill is not an office market. Aspen Hill is a retail market. The BAE/Vitro site is zoned for office use only and LDG will pursue a zoning change, which will hopefully allow for retail use. We look forward to revitalizing our property, bringing new jobs and shopping vitality to Aspen Hill.
